It’s excellent for removing dead skin cells and is perfect for exfoliation. It’s an old Ayurvedic remedy which is an ancient Indian remedy from over 3000 years ago.
Once you’ve made a batch of rice water you can store it in the fridge for up to 4 days and also freeze it in ice molds and use it for facial massages or skin icing treatments. Use it twice daily in the morning and evening, as a face lotion. We’ve included several versions for you to try including one recipe which replaces Milk with Green Tea.

How To Make Japanese Rice Mask -:
- You’ll need 2-3 tablespoons of raw rice – cook until it softens (put raw rice in cold water, gradually heat up until soft). Strain and put the rice water in a separate bowl.
- Rinse your rice and add a tablespoon of warm milk. Stir until it is well combined and add a tablespoon of honey.
- Apply a generous amount of the mask on your face. Remember to clean it thoroughly before the application.
- Carefully remove the mask after 30 mins and rinse with rice water

Green Tea Face Mask Recipe -:
- 1 Green tea bag.
- 1 spoon honey.
- 2 spoons rice flour.
- 5-6 drops of lemon juice (optional) (if the lemon juice does not sting your skin, then you can put this in your DIY mask too)
All you need to do is mix up the ingredients and apply to your face, this is particularly good for fading acne and sun spots and is great for Oily Skin too. Use it two to three times a week.
