What You Need To Make Gel Candles
You can use glass jars or bowls, glass marbles, even an aquarium bowl to show off your Gel Candles. Collect some sea shells, pebbles, and small colorful stones. Even plastic fish or small figurines like a little Mermaid or at Christmas time a Snowman will add a magic touch. Here’s what you’ll need to make the gorgeous Gel Wax Candle decoration above.
- 300g gel paraffin
- Cotton wick candles
- Aquarium colored sand
- Glass container
- Glass ESTECA
- Small Shells
- Aquarium stones
Start off by placing the candle wick at the bottom of the glass or glass bowl. It’s easier if you roll the wick around a pencil so that when you pour the gel in it stays centered. Then warm the gel wax on a very low flame. There’s no wastage as any leftover wax can be used later. Then pour the gel carefully into your glass jar – if you start to see bubbles move the candle near a window with sunlight to stop them forming. Add a few drops of food coloring to tint your candle to suit.
