Kara decided to make her own hair ties when she got fed up with the lack of hair ties available for her daughter to wear at school. She makes hair ties, clips & hairbands available in all the colours of the rainbow to suit your childs school uniform requirements. This is what Kara had to say about joining The WHOot ..
“I started 2012 with 500 likers and an ambition to take Schooled Up Hair Accessories to the next level. I wanted to increase the number of people I saw at the markets and I wanted them to come to see me.
I joined the WHO Business Directory early in January and was stunned when, later that month, for the first time I had customers coming to see my stall at the market and saying “I saw you on the internet”.
I was over the moon to have shoppers who had seen me through the WHO Adelaide pages and come to the market to buy from my stall! I had grown by over 100 likers in less than three weeks and had turned online “lookers” into real life shoppers.
But the WHOot Directory hasn’t just helped to build my customer base, I have also developed great relationships with other local business people, learnt more about social media in three months than I could imagine, supported local business and best of all made friends.
The WHO team are teaching me that working online in the social media realm is about being social. This is my next step! Developing my brand socially to the point where people don’t just search me out online and at markets, they search me out in schools.”
