Ingredients for Tortillas Recipe -:
- 6 cups flours
- 1 tablespoon salt,
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 1/4 cups extremely hot water
Coconut Flour Tortillas Recipe via Ask Georgie
How To Make Coconut Flour Tortillas Recipe -:
- • 1 cup egg whites
- • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- • 1/4 cup coconut flour
- • 1/2 tsp each: cumin and garlic
- • 1/4 tsp each: salt and cayenne pepper
Directions: 1. In a blender combine all ingredients. Process for 10-20 seconds until the mixture is smooth and no lumps remain. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to fully set. 2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly oil if needed. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter in the pan and rotate the pan to spread the batter out about 8” round. 3. Let it cook until the top of the tortilla doesn’t look shiny anymore and the air bubbles have popped and then flip. As they come off the pan, stack them on top of each other on a paper towel lined plate. Fill them with your favorite fillings wether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.
