As you can see by the chart below from ‘Odds and Evans‘ you can vary the strength by changing the base alcohol. Vodka is the most frequently used base and gives a neutral pure flavor. At the other end of the scale, Brandy is heavier and will give you a distinctly unique result. Why not play around with different variations and see what you can come up with!
Did you know that you ou can even relieve minor burns and repel bugs .. If you are planning on painting your house, there is nothing worse than the new paint smell. It can be totally overpowering.
Mix one Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract (per gallon) into your paint and it will neutralize the smell. It won’t affect the paint color but it will mask that toxic smell. Who would have thought it could be so handy!
